Category : Shows

After a mostly joking remark made by Biscuit earlier in the day it was decided that a selection of the StormFM presenters taking part in the Merry Little Christmas would all come together in a live cover of the Band Aid 20 single.

This special edition of the Band Aid 20 was brought to you from the lovely singing voices of Vicky, Amy, Lindsey, Caryl, Ash, Chris and Biscuit.

Listen Now and prepare to be amazed…

Their opposition, X Factor winners, Little Mix with their version of Damien Rice’s Cannonball. Pendulum – Hold Your Colour

Pendulum - Hold your Colour Album Cover

Tonight Rhys of Storm FMs Frequence brought us Pendulum – Hold Your Colour (2005.)

Rhys presented the album as one of the most breakthrough Drum and Bass albums of the decade, and highlighted it to one of the most influential albums from one of the most influential bands that helped to bring Drum and Bass into the public limelight and make it what it is today.

The album is well produced and made a massive impact on the album charts of the time as well featuring tracks that were used in many games and tv appearances. Alongside the uses of the tracks, the album itself make a strong use of samples ranging from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to past GroundBreakers winner War of the Worlds.

Overall the album was so massively influential and important to the drum and bass world, and the wider scene such as dubstep and break-beat that to call it anything but a Ground Breaker would just be a mistake and for that reason, its a resounding;

 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - Seal Approved.
