It was a sad time last night as we presented the last Flashback for this year, but we didn’t let that dampen the mood and had a bit of a party in the studio while playing out songs from headliners from Summer Balls past to warm you all up for this Saturday’s event!

The list of past headliners was found through not-so-secret sources and greatly impressed both me and Robyn. For such a small city and small university we’ve had some big name acts.  For this reason we here at Flashback would like to say a massive congratulations to the Union, past and present, for their commitment to giving us students a good send off every year.

Below is the playlist from tonight’s show, and although not a completely exhaustive list of the artists who have performed for our pleasure, it gives you a brilliant idea of the awesomeness of the Bangor Summer Balls. We urge you all to go to the ball on Saturday, if you don’t already have a ticket get to the union quickly as they’re almost sold out! It is always a great night out and not one to be missed!

Finally, Robyn and I would like to thank all our lovely listeners for tuning in over the past year and hope you’ll stick with us if and when we make our return to the airwaves next year. We’d also like to thank the Storm exec (past and present) for putting up with us and letting us on air! Have a great summer guys and we’ll see you all next year!

Hey Guys!
Sorry for the long blog silence! Ali and I have been back the past couple of weeks with the usual cheesy and old songs and outrageous chat.
We kicked off the last half of semester with updates about the little celebration that was the Royal Wedding, and re- lived what we both got up to over the Easter break.
In terms of our random news updates, we found an article on the BBC about changes to the iconic New York taxis, which has led to the birth of the New York ‘van’, a massive change to what we are used to seeing.
We also have a set challenge for our listeners! If you tuned into last weeks show you would have heard us talking about the moustache and beard championships held in Norway. Our challenge is for anyone of our listeners to send in any photos they may have of an attempt to grow their facial hair for September. Up to the challenge?

Hello everyone,
Just to let you all know that this Sunday will be the final edition of The Back Pages until September. Thank you so much for your support throughout the year. We’ve enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

To thank you, we are doing a super special show this Sunday seeing it is the final day of the Premiership season. We will be on air from 4pm so Nick, John, Drew and Adam are going to get you updated on all 10 Premiership matches from minute 0 to minute 90. Hope you all can join in with all the sporting debates. This 2-hour special is just a one-off so we hope you tune in between 4-6pm on StormFM

Thats right listeners, tonight’s show was the very last of Mixin it up. The end of an era has come.
Biscuit reminisced upon two years of Mixin It Up and tried to fit the songs into the feelings of saying farewell but also remembering the good times gone.

Its been a fun experience and we’ve loved every minute. Hope you guys all have enjoyed it as much as we have and we’ll see you for something new after summer!
