Presidents Are People Too – A Post By Dan Williams

Category : Shows

Afternoon Bangor,
Dan here, the other half of the Presidential candidates for this years Sabbatical Elections, fresh in the studio from LLandrindod Wells.
I’ve been asked to Blog the show by Jim as Jo has already done in the previous hour. Again all music has been chosen by me…
Track List for the show:
  • Glee Cast – Gold Digger (Jim’s Choice)
  • Kings of Leon – Use Somebody
  • Van Halen – Jump
  • Status Quo – Rocking all over the world
  • Simon and Garfunkel – Mrs Robinson
  • Journey – Wheel in the Sky
  • The Buggles – Video Killed the Radio Star
  • Blur – Parklife
  • Billy Joel – Piano Man
  • Boom Town Rats – I don’t like Mondays
  • REM – Bad Day (Jim’s choice)

Its been nice to have an hour where I can sit down, have a chat and relax.  Still unsure what I’d do with a rabbit I found in the street were I not able to find its owners. It’d be nice to keep the rabbit but I’d feel guilty for doing so as it probably belongs to one of my neighbours children. That and I think my parents would probably kill me for getting a pet, that I’d evidently not have the time to look after.

Just to clarify, whilst I don’t like Mondays by about Mid-day I’m over that and loving the week, especially when you consider the choices of music I’ve made today, how could I not like Mondays with Cheese night in Time…

That’s me for now… Thanks Jim and Storm for giving us both the opportunity to come on and allow people to know us for who we are… not what we are.

Dan

Presidents Are People Too – A Post By Jo

Category : Shows

Hello!

Jo Caulfield here, one of the Presidential candidates in this year’s SU Elections.

Jim has asked me to write a little blog about the show, so here it goes…

Firstly, lets get on the all important music (chosen by me, which was nice, thanks Jim)

Tracklisting:

The Day I Died – Just Jack (Jim’s choice…)

This Charming Man – The Smiths

Heavy Cross – Gossip

Supersonic (live) – Oasis

Strawberry Fields Forever – The Beatles

Underdog – Kasabian

Rebellion (lies) – Arcade Fire

Idioteque – Radiohead

Kids (Soulwax Remix) – MGMT

That’s How People Grow Up – Morrissey

It’s been pretty cool hanging out and chatting, it’s a nice relief from the hard campaign trail! Got some good questions from people too, especially one about what question I’d ask Morrissey if I ever met him. I really don’t know what I’d say, I’d probably just die on the spot. Failing that, I’d probably check up on the status of his health, considering he’s been looking a bit worse for wear recently. Poor guy.

I even got to do some links (not sure how well, managed to get the phone number mixed up… but there we go) and had a good laugh with Jim.

Thanks Storm! I’m sure I’ll be back on soon (with a bit of luck!)

Jo
