Friday the 9th of December saw a Christmas Market descend on PJ hall in main arts with over 70 stalls being run by over 130 students.  Storm were there, broadcasting live from the event, and we got the chance to speak to people from societies running stalls and curious students looking for potential Christmas gifts.  Hear some of the chat on the player below…

Several musical groups performed on the day, with everything from a brass band belting out carols to an acoustic guitarist and a six piece madrigal voice choir.

Cam’s 24 hour Bit + Other Storm Red Nose Day Action

On Friday the 18th at midday Storm’s station manager, Cameron Ward, will be on Storm for 24 hours, alongside the shows that are normally on in that time period, in order to raise money for Red Nose day.

Monday’s Skive Time

On Monday’s Skive Time we talked Oscars (reading the posts below this one is a must!), research that says facebook causes students stress and Bobby McFerrin’s 1988 classic Don’t worry be happy received a lot of love on the texts and emails when we played it as our 80s bit.

Best line of the song is… “The land lord says your rent is late, he may have to litigate”. Tune!

Hello it’s Cam here, last night on my Monday night bizzle I played “Pin the tail on the Donkey, on the radio”.  What a game it was!  Robin and Ali from flash back stayed after their show to play it and my guest for the show this week, Freddie, commentated in the style of a Darts commentator.  It made some interesting radio, whether it was actually any good or not was a different matter entirely!   Have a listen below and make up your own mind…

Friday night, saw the end of a week of RAG Events to raise money for great causes.  It all climaxed with a Fashion Show in Powis Hall, Main Arts.  Loads of societies were involved and played their part in the event, with Stage Crew, Imp Soc, and DJ Soc to name just a few.  Storm were there as ever, broadcasting live between 7:30pm and 10:30pm.  Below is some audio from the event to get your ears around.
